Electroplated zinc is a widely applied finish that provides economical corrosion resistance to steel. Today, with higher worldwide demand for improved quality and corrosion resistance, alternate coatings are required. Zinc alloys, particularly zinc cobalt, are proving to be commercially viable and cost effective while providing significant increases in corrosion protection over pure zinc. Products used on: nuts & bolts, computer chassis, metal frames of all types, hydraulic tubing, etc.

There are four standard chromates used on top of Zinc. Clear, Yellow, Black, and Olive Drab. Chromates are used to prevent the Zinc from corroding and for cosmetic purposes.

Key Benifits
Excellent corrosion protection for those products that need protection against acid rain
Consistent coating thickness in barrel plating applications
Can be used in decorative applications as well as functional applications
Cost effective alternative to conventional zinc when corrosion resistance is important
Support a broad range of rack and barrel plating requirements
Equipment
Automatic lines
Hand lines
Tanks up to 14' in length

The Zinc Cobalt electroplating system was designed to deposit a bright, corrosion resistant finish on ferrous components.
